At the second event in the Table.Forum Grand Challenges series, researchers from the Berlin University Alliance will join forces with international research partners to discuss the transformative potential of quantum technology for a new era of economic and industrial progress.
At the heart of the event: Leading researchers and their global perspectives
This promising future technology has the potential to fundamentally reshape entire industries – through ultra-secure communication, exponentially faster computing power, and the most precise measurement methods. Quantum solutions represent a transformation whose full impact on the economy and society is still difficult to predict.
Jens Eisert, Professor of Theoretical Physics at Freie Universität Berlin, and Seth Lloyd, Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), will explore real-world application scenarios – and explain why Berlin is on its way to becoming a quantum capital.
