On November 11, 2024, we are organizing a one-day Heraeus symposium on the topic: "Applications of Quantum Computers" at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities, Berlin.
The aim of this symposium is to outline the state-of-the-art of quantum computation and existing challenges concerning potential disruptive applications. A focus lies on quantum computing activities in Germany and Japan. 12 invited experts from both countries will share insights into challenges, progress, and future perspectives. Topics will center around the realization of scalable quantum processors, error correction mechanisms, and the integration of quantum computers into existing systems. Our meeting format including a poster session is intended to enable intensive and fruitful discussion. Details about the program can be found at:
