Deep Dive into Quantum Sensing Technologies
Across two intensive days, participants will explore the core quantum sensing platforms driving innovation today:
-
Superconducting Sensors & SQUIDs
Understand the physics and industrial potential of ultra-sensitive magnetic detection. -
Optically Pumped Magnetometers (OPMs)
Discover room-temperature solutions revolutionising biomagnetism and navigation. -
NV Centres in Diamond
Learn how defects in diamond enable quantum precision at the nanoscale.
Lab Access & Hands-On Experience
A standout feature of the workshop is the exclusive lab tour inside PTB’s magnetically shielded room (BMSR-2.1), including a live heart signal measurement demonstration—a compelling real-world application of quantum sensing in biomedicine.
Interactive hands-on sessions with SQUIDs, OPMs, and NV centres will enable participants to work directly with PTB specialists, gaining practical insights that go far beyond lectures.
