Fertile Void – A Festival on Quantum Cosmology
As part of the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, Fertile Void invites audiences to rethink the structure of the universe and the role of quantum phenomena in shaping our understanding of space, time, and being. This interdisciplinary festival bridges scientific research with artistic perspectives, offering new approaches to complex topics such as quantum biology, information physics, and cosmological theories. By incorporating alternative knowledge systems—like Ayurveda, Inka cosmology, Jewish mysticism, and more—Fertile Void challenges Western-centric views and explores the relational and entangled nature of reality.
Art, Discourse, and Speculation in the Quantum Age
Fertile Void: Quantum Cosmologies between Science, Stories, and Speculations brings together international artists, scientists, and thinkers to explore the social and cultural implications of quantum technologies through performances, installations, workshops, and discussions. The festival serves as a platform for counter-hegemonic epistemologies and more-than-human perspectives, opening up new narratives about matter, information, and memory. Admission is free. All events are primarily held in English, with simultaneous translation into German.
